Apparently inspired by Batman’s Gotham City, every room in the two-bedroom apartment is painted black, with black furnishings, creating a controversial visual effect that some have described as ‘sexy’, and others consider bleak. Located in Piccadilly Basin in Manchester’s popular Northern Quarter, the unique apartment boasts two deluxe double bedrooms, a kitchen and living room space, and a custom-build bathroom complete with a walk-in rain shower. Except for the toilet, bathtub and sink, every surface in the 990-sq-ft pad, including the walls, floor and windows, is black.

The Opuses restaurant at The Royal Park Hotel in Ginza, Tokyo recently got a lot of attention because of an intriguing dessert shaped like pieces of wall plaster.
On the list of least appetizing things in the world, wall plaster ranks pretty highly, so most people wouldn’t call it the most inspired choice for designing a dessert. Still, that’s exactly what the chefs at Opuses, a high-class restaurant in Tokyo, Japan seem to have done. Photos of this dubious-looking dish were recently posted on Twitter by user @mimimimimitsu32 and ended up getting over 200,000 likes, 26,000 retweets and hundreds of comments. The general sentiment was that the dessert looked remarkably like plaster.
A Zimbabwean man spent several months in the hospital recovering from a vicious attack by no less than three or four crocodiles at a fishing pond near the town of Nyamhunga.
The incident took place in January, as Alexander Chimedza arrived at the Nyamhunga sewer ponds to look for some red worms. He planned to use them as bait to catch Kariba bream, after his wife told him that she had had enough of the tigerfish that he usually brought home. He claims one crocodile tried to grab his left hand, but he instinctively pulled it away, before another crocodile managed to bite his right hand.

A 54-year-old man was arrested earlier this month after people in his Oxfordshire neighborhood started complaining that his bicycle-filled backyard had become a breeding ground for rats. However, when authorities stopped by the man’s home, they expected to find a few bicycles, but nowhere near as many as 500 of them piled on top of each other. The heap of old bikes has apparently been growing at a steady pace for over 5 years, and it has now gotten so big that it can be seen on Google Earth satellite imagery.

Redesigned by architect and artist Alex Haw in 2015, the property has been inhabited since 2019, and the family said that living there has been interesting, to say the least. Even though passers-by can’t see inside, the owners can see outside perfectly fine, and they sometimes spot people fixing their hair or clothes in their mirrored walls and windows.

On March 1st, 2021, the 33-year-old office worker, known only by his Twitter handle (@InosukeWorkout) posted photos of his body on the microblogging social network, announcing that he was going to start doing ab wheel exercises in order to achieve the toned physique of Inosuke Hashibira, one of the main protagonists of the Demon Slayer: Kimenu no Yaiba manga/anime. Sporting the character’s iconic wild boar mask, the mysterious man then started daily videos of himself doing ab wheel exercises, and documenting his progress through photos.

One of them, however, was more desperate to pass than the rest. Apparently, the unnamed medical student had been admitted 11 years ago, but had failed the final exam multiple times over the last few years, and this was his final chance to pass. To increase his chances, the man apparently turned to cheating, getting a Bluetooth device surgically implanted in his ear.
