LEGO Firearms Actually Shoot LEGO Bricks

Jack Streat’s LEGO firearms are cool enough to look at, but the fact they actually work makes them uber-cool.

Witha passion for LEGO and guns, there was just one thing Jack Streat could do, and that’s create an extensive collection of LEGO firearms that actually shoot LEGO bricks. From the common AK-47 to the Uzzi and even a working minigun, Jack Streat has created a large part of today’s military arsenal and even made videos of each weapon in action.

Some of you may have seen weapons made of LEGO bricks, before, but the collection created by Jack Streat would make both Rambo and the Terminator crazy with envy.

Boardroom Table Made of LEGO Bricks

We’ve featured a large variety of stuff made out of LEGO bricks, but this is the first LEGO boardroom table I’ve ever seen.

The newly formed Boys and Girls advertising agency asked the guys at abcg to transform a gorgeous Georgian house into a worthy headquarters. The new place had to be playful, but not juvenile. With that in mind, the designers made the bold move of creating the boardroom table out of LEGO pieces. It took a total of 22,742 LEGO bricks to complete the 1.2 x 2.7 table, but the end result was more than satisfying.

The LEGO bricks that form the boardroom table are stuck together the old fashioned way, without the use of glue. The pieces are set on a slate of steel and covered by a 10 mm-thick layer of toughened glass.

Post-Apocalyptic LEGO Crawler Town

What started out as a steampunk dreadnought/battleship evolved into a self-sustainable crawler town that roams the wastes in search of valuable resources.

It sounds like the rough plot of a post-apocalyptic flick, but it’s actually the result of Dave DeGobbi’s rich imagination. He pictured his LEGO Crawler Town as a mobile settlement roaming the barren wastelands, in a steampunk universe devastated by excessive coal use.

The Crawler Town is the best of several moving cities, a place where people can enjoy luxuries like pizza and beer. Thanks to its powerful crawlers, the town constantly searches for invaluable minerals and aquifers, and stay away from powerful sandstorms.

Dave DeGobbi’s Crawler Town got the name ‘Eco-punk’, due to its steampunk influences, and features functional powered treads, working suspension, front and rear steering, and lift from lower to upper levels.

Incredibly Realistic LEGO Flames

If you ask me, it looks more like lave gushing out of the Earth, but if the artist says it’s fire, I’m sure not going to argue.

Cole Blaq proved his LEGO mastery by creating what many thought impossible, flames out of LEGO bricks. Using light gradient in the center and red on the edges of his creation, and an overhead lamp for the glow, Cole managed to get the desired fiery effect, without any light sources inside the LEGO sculpture.

What’s even more awesome is that if you look carefully you can see the artist’s name (COLE) engulfed by flames. Pretty cool.

LEGO Trucks Look So Real

The first time I laid eyes on Maciej Drwiega’s LEGO trucks, I thought they were life-size, that’s how real they look. Of course the photo angle helped a lot, too.

Maciej Drwiega (let’s see you pronounce that) is a big LEGO fan who likes to build replicas of trucks, using the popular bricks. His 1:13 scale creations look as good as the real vehicles and even have detailed interiors and detachable hoods that reveal the engine. How cool is that? I wonder how long it takes the Polish LEGO master to build one of these babies.

Dude Builds Giant LEGO Star-Wars Rebel Frigate

Steef de Prouw, a LEGO master and apparently, big fan of the Star Wars universe, built an impressive LEGO model of the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate.

Judging by the level of detail, I think it’s safe to say Steef spend weeks if not months working on this baby, but it was definitely worth it. Though he spent days in a row thinking about how he was going to add more pieces to his LEGO masterpiece, without having it tip over or falling apart, he managed to create one of the most impressive Star-Wars replicas ever.

The LEGO Star-Wars Rebel Frigate measures 4 feet 6 inches and features a docked Millennium Falcon and 3 X-Wing fighters.

Brixels – Get Your Very Own LEGO Portrait

Brixels is an Austrian company that specializes in creating portraits using LEGO bricks. Just send them a photo and they’ll send you back the perfect Christmas gift.

The amazing LEGO mosaics you see below were created with thousands of  1×1 bricks in four different colors (black, white, dark gray and light gray). Although the guys at Brixels have made LEGO portraits of celebrities like Barack Obama, Marylin Monroe or Bruce Lee, it doesn’t mean you can’t have your face recreated with LEGO.

In fact, the company presents its clients with two options. Other send them the photo and receive a LEGO kit that you can put together yourself, or have them piece it together. Sure the last option is more expensive, but considering these things are made of up to 4,600 pieces, you migt one to consider it.

Brixels (cool name, don’t you think?) was founded by Stefan Sacherer, a 29-year-old graphic designer from Salzburg. A big LEGO fan, Stefan built his first mosaic as a present for his girlfriend. The positive reactions of their friends inspired him to open Brixels, in order to allow people to create their own LEGO portraits.

Damn good idea, if I do say so myself!

Check out the high-speed of a LEGO mosaic being assembled, at the bottom.

Nathan Sawaya, a 36-year-old former lawyer has stunned the world with his incredible LEGO artworks.

LEGO Luigi Looks Bad-Ass

Luigi fan creates a 70-cm-tall replica of his favorite video-game character.

So Luigi isn’t quite as popular as his brother, Super Mario, so he usually does all the work while Mario shines in the spotlight, does that mean he doesn’t deserve some attention? “Absolutely not!” said one of his fans and decided to build an awesome LEGO model of Luigi.

LEGO Luigi is 70-cm-tall and is composed of over 80 layers of LEGO bricks. Believe me, it might look like child’s play, but building such LEGO models could definitely be called art. I bet Mario is eating his heart out right now…

Swedish Church Watched-Over by LEGO Jesus

A church in Vasteras, Sweden has a 6-foot LEGO statue representing Jesus, watching over the parishioners.

The all-white LEGO Jesus took 30,000 LEGO bricks and roughly 18 months to complete. 40 volunteers worked on the statue, a replica of Bertel Thordvadsen’s “Resurrected Christ” sculpture. This amazing LEGO masterpiece was unveiled on Easter day and many of the children just had to touch it and make sure it’s real.

Although LEGO Jesus is all-white on the outside, many colored bricks are placed on the statue’s inside. Another incredible thing about this thing is that it is not hollow on the inside.
