A Minnesota woman is suing her dentist for allegedly putting her through hell for over five hours by conducting 32 different procedures in a single, agonizing session.
Having to endure one root canal is traumatizing enough, but imagine having to sit through four root canal procedures, eight dental crowns, and no less than 20 fillings in a single session. It sounds like a nightmare and Kathleen Wilson, a Minnesota woman with severe dental problems, can attest that it truly was. In a span of just over 5 hours, her dentist, Dr. Kevin Molldrem, allegedly used about double the recommended dose of anesthetic, in an attempt to fix all her teeth in a single session. His efforts allegedly left the woman disfigured and distressed, and she is now asking for at least $50,000 in damages.

The traumatic incident occurred in the summer of 2020 and left Henderson embarrassed and in pain. She had to undergo several other procedures just to fix the damage caused by Molldrem and she now wants him to pay. An expert Florida dentist had testified that although Molldrem’s diagnosis – that virtually every tooth in Kathleen Wilson’s mouth had cavities – the way he went about helping her was wrong.
“Katie required a slow, thoughtful, careful and measured response to her disease,” Dr. Avrum Goldstein said. “Trying to fill every hole in every tooth in her mouth in one visit is not only the antithesis of what was indicated, it is not humanely possible to achieve in an effective or constructive manner.”

Goldstein also claimed that the woman’s dentist gave her too much anesthetic during the long session, and then faked documents in order to conceal it. Molldrem allegedly administered 960 mg of anesthetic, almost double the 480 mg recommended for long procedures.
For the trauma she had to endure, as well as for the cost of the medical intervention to mitigate the damage, Kathleen Wilson is now seeking $50,000 in damages.
Up to this point, Dr. Molldrem has refused to comment.
