Apache Helicopter Made Out of Plywood

It’s amazing what some people can do with something as plain as plywood.

This amazing Apache Helicopter model was created by Jasper Knight,  an artist from Sidney, Australia, who uses materials such as plywood, Perspex, cardboard and old traffic signs for his art. Knight’s plywood creation measures six meters in length, almost half the size of a real Apache Assault Helicopter.

Teen Makes Prom Dress Out Of Coffee Filters

A young, inspiring fashion designer created her prom dress using nothing else but coffee filters.

18-year-old Aimee Kick, from Missouri spent an entire month making her own prom dress out of coffee filters. Apparently Aimee spends a lot of her free time in local coffee shops and is known as “the girl with a coffee cup” so I guess she wanted to create an appropriate theme dress for her prom at Francis Howell North High School.

Man Builds Life-Size Bumblebee Transformer

It may not be as cool-looking as the life-size Gundam robot in Tokyo, but, for a home-made statue, this real-life Bumblebee Transformer is pretty awesome.

A big Transformers fan from Lemoore, California, Tom Rhoads decided to build a Bumblebee replica right in his front yard. He started working on the 18-foot-tall statue right after his son was born. Seeing these are financially-troubled times, Tom created the life-size Transformer out of an old Volkswagen Beetle, instead of a brand new Camaro, like in the movie.

Rhoads and a friend worked on this Bumblebee statue for an entire year, then lifted it into position using a crane and reinforced its legs so it wouldn’t fall down.

Star-Wars Chipmunks

What do chipmunks and Star-Wars have in common? I have no idea, but Canadian illustrator Chris McVeigh though it would be funny to mix them together.

Using a lot of patience and a significant amount of almonds, McVeigh managed to convince these cute, furry rodents to pose with action-figures from the popular sci-fi series Star-Wars. It all started when he befriended a chipmunk trapped in his father’s garden shed. He got quite close to it after a while and realized he could get them to do practically anything.

Great photos by Chris McVeigh and amazing acting by the chipmunks.

Whether you want some really unique baby accessories for you toddler, or just want to buy him some stuff that will probably last forever, these things are perfect. Of course you’ll also probably have to buy your baby some armor to keep him from getting some serious cuts, but nothing is perfect in this world, right.

I’m sure you’ve realized by now that these stainless steel accessories are nothing more than art exhibits and they couldn’t be used in real life.

Buy 3 Stars, Get 53 Free!

At least that was the case when young Kimberley Vlaminck asked for three stars tattooed near her left eye.

The young Belgian says she went to a tattoo parlor to get three small stars tattooed, but the foreign artist misunderstood her request and left her with 56 stars covering the left side of her face. How could that possibly have happened, you say? Simple, she fell asleep during the procedure and woke up when the artist finished his work.

Now, the guy who tattooed her doesn’t exactly look like the most trustworthy person in the world (he’s the guy in the last photo), but I find it hard to believe someone could fall asleep while getting a tattoo. Nevermind the pain, the noise of the tattoo-gun right next to her left ear would have been enough to keep her awake.

Kimberley says she must have been drugged by Rouslan Toumaniantz, the shop-owner and the guy who executed the tattoo, but he insists the girl specifically asked for 56 stars tattooed on her face. He says the whole scandal started when the 18-year-old went home and showed her family and boyfriend the permanent artwork. They went crazy, so miss Vlaminck returned to the tattoo-shop and accused Toumaniantz of misunderstanding her request.

Now Kimberley Vlaminck is suing Toumanintz for 10,000 pounds, the cost of a laser-procedure to remove his ‘mistake’. Although the tattoo artist maintains that the girl asked for 56 stars, and even brought in a witness to sustain his claim, he agreed to pay half of the procedure costs, just because he doesn’t want an unsatisfied customer.

Kimberley hasn’t accepted his offer yet.

The Barbie Foosball Table

Trying to get your girlfriend to play foosball? This Barbie-themed foosball table might just do the trick.

Created by French designer Chloe Ruchon and presented at the DMY Design Festival 2009, in Berlin, Barbiefoot combines Barbie dolls and table-football. You could say Ruchon managed to create something that men and women might actually enjoy doing together. While it might not be the world’s biggest foosball table, Barbiefoot is certainly an interesting concept.

DIY Cigarette Pack Plane

Are you a smoker? Are you having a boring day at the office? Have we got a challenge for you!Try making one of these babies out of your cigarette pack.

I mean who knew something so cool could come out of something as useful as a cigarette pack. And it’s not like one of those folded-paper-planes that my father used to make for me when I was a kid, it’s a freaking fighter plane.

That does it, if I can’t quit smoking, I might as well learn to do cool things with the cigarette packs. Either that or switch to those electronic cigarettes thingies.

Sadly, just like with the edible hat, we couldn’t find the original source of these pics, so if you’ve seen them somewhere else or know who post them, let us know so we can give credit to this true origami master.
